It's a glorious thing to be a part of change. To shake your fist, make your stand and use your voice.
It started with a song at the Women's March on Washington in January.
This video came across my Facebook feed and I felt so inspired by this beautiful work. So did my friend Carol Shortis. As look would have it, in my work with Voice Arts Trust, I was looking for a fellow Song Leader to lead a song for International Women's day.
And so started this amazing roller coaster I have been riding with the many other incredible women in Wellington and around the world.
We have sung at Parliament for Women from all over NZ, in protest at its very gates for International Women's day, Pride week and Wellington Help. Plus many more I have not been able to attend.
Here are some snippets of our work.
